Daniel Henry Noyes, Jr., age 56, of Lamar, unexpectedly passed away Saturday night, December 17, 2016, at his home.

Dan was born November 20, 1960, in Riverside, California, to Daniel, Sr. and Carmen (Reaza) Noyes.  After graduating from Corona High School, he entered the U.S. Navy where he mastered the challenges of becoming a Navy Seal.  He earned many commendations and awards of distinction during his tour of duty and was honorably discharged November 3, 1982.  Dan’s natural ability and automotive interests led him to a career as a mechanic.  He had worked for Goodyear in Springfield and Pro Lube and Tune in Billings, as well as owning and operating DDT Auto in Aurora.   Always willing to be of service to his Lord, his family, and his community, Dan was an active member of First Baptist Church in Marionville, a devoted husband, father, and caregiver, and Marionville Rural Assistant Fire Chief.  A life-long learner, he earned an A.A. degree from Bryan University and volunteered as an EMT.

On December 27, 2009, at Marshfield, Missouri, Dan married Barbara Mackey and they made their home in Marionville until moving to Lamar in 2015.  They enjoyed the small-town hospitality of their neighbors and the fellowship of friends at First Baptist Church of Lamar.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; three sons, Brandon Mackey, Shelby Mackey, and Travis Noyes, all of the home; four daughters, Jamie Grady of the home, Cheryl Grady, Las Vegas, Nevada, Christina Mackey and Hannah Mackey of the home; two grandchildren, Nevaeh and Ducati Grady; a sister, Chris (Jamie) Bieberitz, Marionville; two nephews, Chris Bieberitz and Hunter Thomas; three nieces, Bobbie Sue, Katielynn, and Amber Bieberitz; a large extended family and many close friends.  The family wishes to extend special thanks to Maria Lewis.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22nd at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 23rd at First Baptist Church in Marionville.  Burial with full military honors will follow at Seymour Masonic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Noyes family, in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
