Schermerhorn Michelle

Michelle Dawn Schermerhorn, age 37, of Galena, Kansas passed away, July 19, 2018 at Freeman Hospital West as a result of an automobile accident on July 8, 2018.

Michelle was born, July 7, 1981 in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. She had worked at Superior Industries in Pittsburg, Kansas. Michelle loved to swim and fish and just enjoyed life.

Survivors include two sons, Garrett Peterson and Tanner Hennessy, Galena, Kansas; a daughter, Trinity Peterson, Galena, Kansas; her mother and step-father, Connie and Dwight Clemans, Mindenmines, Missouri, her father Michael Peterson, Bonner Springs, Kansas; one brother, Danny Vaughn, Fulton, Missouri; four sisters, Dana Fowler, Mulberry, Kansas, Tiffany Gray, Shawnee, Kansas, April Ortega, Asbury, Missouri and Krystal Wards, Kansas City, Missouri; grandmothers, Melba Vaughn, Mindenmines, Missouri, and Carolyn Peterson, Bonner Springs, Kansas; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Michelle was preceded in death by an infant son, Matthew Hennessy.

A celebration of life will be 6:00 pm, Monday, July 23, 2018 at Daniel Funeral Home, with Daniel Moss officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

Prayers to her family especially her kids. She made a thanksgiving when there wasn't one four a few of us. There wasn't going to be one and she made one, with love and respect I part ways with a teacher.
